The International Conference on Neutron Scattering (ICNS) 2025 is a meeting and discussion place for everyone that uses neutrons as a tool for scientific research and development.

Axel Straschnoy is presenting The Source at ICNS2025, BellaCenter, Copenhagen.

The Source is a work-in-progress with Iain Sutton to image the European Spallation Source moderator.

Straschnoy and Sutton use gold to capture its radioactive signature, then transform that trace into an image using photosensitive materials—before gold-198 decays into mercury.
