And So Very Alive, an exhibition by Italian artist Silvia Bigi, brings together works that explore the intersections of gender, memory, technology, and resistance.
At the heart of the exhibition are women whose voices and stories have been silenced through institutional, social, and intimate forms of violence. Through the use of artificial intelligence, deepfake technology, speech synthesis, performance, textiles, scent, and moving image, Bigi reactivates suppressed narratives, transforming absence into a space of multiplicity, connection, and new forms of presence.

The exhibition includes a chatbot trained on the writings of art critic Francesca Alinovi, an installation dedicated to Irma, a forgotten figure in the artist’s family history, and works that weave together persecution, ecology and women’s knowledge.

Programme
June 20, 7 pm – Exhibition viewing with the artist and curator
July 20, 7:30 pm – A Very Alive Protocol, participatory performance

The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, the Municipality of Ljubljana – Department for Culture, and the Italian Institute of Culture in Slovenia.
